Scarecrow Festival Oct. 27th

The Scarecrow Festival is going to be the biggest Scarecrow Festival ever.   So many more activities for children, face painting, build a scarecrow, Infatable games and much more.  The Live Oak Women's Club Chili Cookoff will take place in Veterans Park and the Suwannee Democra'ts Puttin' On the Dog costume contest will start at 11 am, live entertainment is provided by the Herald White Band.  The Live Oak Garden Club is having their traditional pancake breakfast and Plant sale at the Garden Club on Hwy. 136 Sat. morning, always a great kickoff to the day.

Applications for the Puttin' On the Dog contest can be found under Vendors on Historic Live Oak.com and at the Suwannee Democrat by clicking this link suwanneedemocrat.com and look under House Ads on the right they can download the Puttin on the Dog registration forms and contest rules.

Live Oak Scarecrow Festival

4th Annual Scarecrow Festival is coming Oct. 27.  This is a family event with lots of activities for your children - all of them FREE! Build a scarecrow, costume contests, many games & activities for children and lots of treats. Puttin' on the Dog contest is back, so get your Dogs ready for this fun filled event.

Live Oak Partnership Announces 2012 Event Schedule

The Live Oak Partnership announced its’ 2012 series of crowd-pleasing home-town events for downtown Live Oak. The Partnership focuses on downtown economic development including retail recruitment and retention, property and physical improvement, marketing and promotions and business development. Downtown events are an important part of these efforts.  The 2012 season includes:

4-H Haybale Decorating Contest

The 4-H Haybale Decorating Contest is a fun competition between 4-H clubs to celebrate Fall.  Haybales are located in front of the UF/IFAS Suwannee County Extension Office and Coliseum.  Starting Monday October 10, the public is invited to vote for their favorite haybale at the UF/IFAS Suwannee County Extension Office, from 8am-5pm.
